The Six Lines of the Gene Keys
- Each of the Six Lines gives a special colouration to the Gene Key concerned. This colouration is strongly conditioned by the Level of Consciousness, either in the Shadow or in the Light (the Light includes here the Gift and the Siddhi).
- The following texts give the general meaning for the Shadow and the Light of each Line. They are my own understanding of the Lines.
- The general meaning of the Lines apply in all cases. In the Golden Path, however, the Lines take in addition a specific meaning for each of the Spheres of the Hologenetic Profile.
Line 1: Investigator > Introspection
Physical body. The foundation. Security and insecurity. Singularity, independence, is concerned with himself. Introspection and investigation to find the foundation of things.
Shadow > Fearfulness, repression, insecurity, hiding behind or interrogation. Egocentric, introverted, serious, lack of humor and curiosity, not aware of the presence of the other. Physically collapsed or tense, rigid, unable to move. Without a secure foundation, has no inner rootedness, feels inferior, unstable, asks questions or makes an interrogatory.
Light > Peace, rooted at the physical level. Confidence, inner security, stands for himself and his own needs. The foundation acquired through research and introspection gives him authority, certainty and rootedness, and allows him to recognize the other.
Line 2: Hermit > Projection
Physical body. "Call me. No, leave me alone!", the dilemma of the hermit. Has a lot to share, but fears that this is not a good call.
Shadow >Denial, explosion, provocation, accusation, blame, focus on the other. Blind to himself, to his abilities, to his energy, unconscious. Hates the pressure and the hidden agendas > reluctance, pushing back, anger.
Light > Naturalness, peace, relaxed self-composure, confidence, unconditional love. Passionate, intense, powerful energy. Intimacy, likes one-to-one relationships, passionate sensuality. Lives his life with naturalness, follows its own magic, doesn’t need to think.
Line 3: Martyr > Adaptation
Emotional body. Creative, dynamic and unpredictable, always open to experiences, bumps into things. Taking risks is his natural way to discover what doesn’t work. Learns from his errors and failures.
Shadow > Shame, avoidance, drama. Blames, repels or shocks others. Lack of commitment or overcommitment. Waste of energy. Uses humor to avoid to feel and to pretend to be in control. Goes away to avoid the situation or the other, leaves by slamming the door and is ashamed to return.
Light > Joyful vitality, versatility, flexibility, playful curiosity. Laughter and humor allow him to change things. Can laugh about himself. Relies on his ability to adapt to transform any situation. Takes responsibility for his intense feelings. Leads others into his adventures.
Line 4: Opportunist > Externalization
Emotional body. Is so involved in finding friends, in creating a network to spread the message that speaks to his heart, that he may neglect his intimate relationships.
Shadow > Rejection, refusal, ruthlessness, hardheartedness, false friendliness. Fear of rejection, rejects rather than being rejected. Encapsulates his pain, closes down, retires behind a smile, a polite mask or a glacial wall, unable to express his emotions.
Light > Openheartedness, gentleness, generosity, authenticity, cooperation. Friendly, sensitive, honest, sincere, concentrated. Establishes contacts through feelings, language, kindness. Is influential when he opens his heart and is available, without effort.
Line 5: Heretic > Universalization
Mental body. Mystical and practical, mysterious and hidden. People project that he is a savior and has something valuable to offer, and they resent him if he doesn’t meet their expectations.
Shadow > Delusion and illusion. Self-obsession, paranoia, guilt. Dogmatic, rebel. Liar. Turns in circles in the labyrinth of his beliefs, illusions, projections and false expectations, that he takes all for real. Wants people to listen to his story, to his
Light > Clarity, realistic ideas, practical and visionary wisdom. Out of his mental labyrinth, he trusts and is open to the perspectives of the world, forgives himself and others and feels free to give and receive care. Deeply humanitarian, he is always ready to help.
Line 6: Role Model > Transition
Mental body. Seeks to transcend rather than to feel. The most important thing is trust.
Shadow > Is absent or disappears. Inner absence, disconnects, leaves the body. Distant and superior, is not involved, escapes to the roof, isolates himself, separates. Feels excluded if he cannot contribute. Hypocrisy, doesn’t practice what he preaches.
Light > Embodied presence, genuine participation, connectedness, actively relates. Incarnates wisdom. Objectivity, broad overview that includes everything, objective consideration of all aspects of a situation. Visionary teacher, protector. When he finds the confidence to engage, inspires others by sharing his wisdom and his extensive knowledge.
